Apple Service

Terms & Conditions

Apple's hardware warranty only applies to hardware and only warrants against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Apple's published guidelines.

Apple's hardware warranty does not apply to any software, even if packaged or sold with Apple hardware. If Vital Peripheral Supplies determines, while inspecting your equipment, that repairs are required due to physical or liquid damage, or that the unit has been altered or modified to change its appearance, functionality or capability, we reserve the right to refuse service, provide notice that warranty is void, or return the unit to you un-repaired. I acknowledge that any discovery of physical liquid damage to equipment will be chargeable at standard labour rates. I acknowledge that I have disclosed prior to leaving the goods for Service if the unit has been altered or modified.

Service parts or products are new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability. Service Parts will be warranted for the remaining term of Apple's warranty or 90 days, whichever provides the longer coverage.

Vital Peripheral Supplies will provide a written or verbal quotation before proceeding with repairs that require service parts. In the case of no trouble found, accidental damage or if the problem is resolved without using service parts the assessment fee is payable.

Reasonable care is taken by Vital Peripheral Supplies to prevent any loss of data. For your privacy and security, unless specifically requested, Vital Peripheral Supplies will not perform a backup of data on equipment provided for service. I acknowledge that Vital Peripheral Supplies not be liable for any data loss that may occur. I acknowledge that where possible, all data on the equipment for service has been backed up, and that any removable media such as optical discs have been removed, or I assume the risk that such data or media may be lost, corrupted, or otherwise compromised during service or repair.

If service involves transfer or installation of software or data, you represent that you have the legal right to copy the information, and agree to the terms of any applicable software licenses. You also authorise Vital Peripheral Supplies to accept such terms on your behalf. It is a condition of Vital Peripheral Supplies accepting your equipment for service or other treatment that the equipment is subject to the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1961. This confers upon Vital Peripheral Supplies the right to sell or otherwise dispose of your goods should you not claim your goods and/or pay all due charges within the minimum period required by law after Vital Peripheral Supplies has provided notice that the goods are ready for re-delivery to you.
